SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES:
The AN-01 must remain in its containment chamber at all times; removal of the AN-01 from the chamber is strictly prohibited; only authorized personnel may enter the containment chamber; no one may enter within a 20-meter radius of the AN-01, under penalty of immediate termination; the C-cores of the AN-02 instances may not enter within a 20-kilometer radius of the GEOTANK (location of the AN-01), under penalty of immediate destruction of those same C-cores.
DESCRIPTION:
AN-01 is a 35-meter-high stone obelisk that resembles a funerary structure. This obelisk has a huge text engraved in an unknown language. According to scientists from the OS Foundation, the "object" appears to have emerged 4.6 billion years ago, meaning it was present during the formation of the Earth. The rocky material that forms the "structure" suffered no damage even after multiple tests with hammers, pickaxes, bombs, chemicals, etc...
AN-01 was first discovered on February 20, 2024, by R Corp (Riverview Laboratories) following the first incident with AN-02-1. It was found at the bottom of the Telamon Sea, leading to the obelisk being named "The Telamon Sea Rock." When R Corp discovered the connection between AN-01 and AN-02-1 by translating the text on AN-01, Riverview initiated Project CUBE-ADD, whose objective was to destroy all instances of AN-02 and protect AN-01 from them. However, on November 29, 2024, an instance of AN-02 (AN-02-19) managed to make contact with AN-01, causing the 2024 CUBE-ADD Incident, which resulted in the deaths of 125,779 citizens and the destruction of the city of Riverview, which was under R Corp's control at the time. Fortunately, they managed to prevent the event and soon after, Possession of the remaining instances AN-02 and AN-01 was granted to the OS Foundation at the end of 2024.
