AN-04 must be protected by armed guards at all times. A surveillance camera located at the entrance to AN-04 must remain switched off at all times and should only be activated during testing. If anyone attempts to enter AN-04 without permission, that person must be immediately stopped. The surveillance camera should not be active in this case to prevent the individual from proceeding to other areas of AN-04.
DESCRIPTION:
AN-04 is an underground hospital maintenance corridor (MHall-2-5) located in [REDACTED], [REDACTED], at the [REDACTED] memorial hospital, on its maintenance sublevel 2. The AN-04 anomaly consists of a (presumably) infinite extension of the normal maintenance corridor, where the anomaly manifests as the infinite joining of 4 different areas of the corridor to extend it. Its secondary anomalous property is called "Event-04-2". When an individual is navigating AN-04, unless a camera or another individual/animal is in visual contact with them, the individual will always be teleported back to the beginning of AN-04 after a brief power outage on AN-04. This makes it necessary for another person, camera, or animal to be in constant visual contact with the moving individual for them to continue progressing in AN-04. Any kind of break in visual contact, such as visual blocking, blinking, or camera failure/noise, will cause the moving individual to be teleported back to the beginning of AN-04.
AN-04 was first encountered (and theorized to have first manifested) on September 28, 1998. AN-04 was discovered by a group of three teenagers attempting to explore the hospital's sublevels. After reporting the discovery to one of the hospital's surgeons, and after some checks by the same surgeon and two security personnel, AN-04 was reported to the hospital director and then to the E Corp board. The case was eventually handed over to O Corp for investigation, and after further investigations, that area of the sublevel was closed off and renovated, being redirected to O Corp's possession under the name Area-30-1.
The AN-04 is now contained at Area-30-1.
ADDENDUMS:
AN-04, Test-25 (16:08|June 05, 1999): Test objective = to verify what is inside the doors located into AN-04 / Results: An expedition was sent to AN-04 to investigate the doors located inside. The first discovery was that all the doors were unlocked. Seven different rooms were found in total: two storage rooms, two emergency generator rooms, a sewer maintenance room, a cleaning supplies storage room, and a completely empty room. The rooms tend to repeat with slight variations throughout AN-04. No dangers or new discoveries were found.
