SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES:
AN-05 must remain in its containment room/arsenal at all times and must remain in its inactive mode at all times. Changing the AN-05's mode and removing it from containment are permitted only in cases of formal testing. If anyone attempts to steal the AN-05, the action must be immediately stopped. In case of a containment breach, Class E riot, or attack on the facility, the containment room/arsenal must be immediately locked down for security. If the AN-05's battery drops below 25%, it must be recharged immediately. Unauthorized possession and use of the AN-05 are strictly prohibited. Attempting to destroy, dismantle, or test the AN-05 in dangerous situations is not permitted.
DESCRIPTION:
AN-05 is a Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun of unknown make. It has a switch near the trigger that turns the weapon on and off in what are called "idle mode" and "active mode." In active mode, the barrel emits a faint cyan glow in some internal areas. When fired, the AN-05 launches an electric sphere at a speed of 1,399.1 kilometers per hour (km/h), with a charge of approximately 5,460 GWh.
The AN-05 was found in 1982 in an illegal weapons depot in the state of [REDACTED] in [REDACTED]. Its anomalous properties were discovered after the depot owner attempted to shoot a police officer, but ended up hitting a tree and causing a fire. After the weapon was sent to a police station, it was forwarded to one of T Corp's facilities and then to T Corp headquarters, where it was sold to the OS Foundation (notice that the T Corp anomaly destruction policy was not implemented at that time). The AN-05 was initially labeled AN-01, as it was the first anomalous object found by the OS Foundation. It retained this numbering until the CUBE-ADD incident of 2024, when the current AN-01 and AN-02 were added to the list, giving rise to the 2025 anomaly renumbering project, which renumbered 23 anomalies (AN-01 and AN-23) and changed their numbering (AN-05 and AN-27).
The AN-05 is now contained at Site-06, in a containment room/arsenal built exclusively to house AN-05.

AN-05, Test-08 (16:08|January 27, 1982): Test objective = to verify what happens when the AN-05 is used many times / Results: 23 minutes after the start of the test, the AN-05 began to overheat, so the emergency cooling systems were activated; 49 minutes after the start of the test, the AN-05 battery reached 23%, the AN-05 began to shake and become unstable, the shots became weaker and began to lose power; 1 hour and 12 minutes after the start of the test, the battery reached 8%, extremely high temperatures were detected, 169°C, smoke began to come out of the AN-05 and the cyan glow on its barrel turned yellow, cooling systems ineffective; After 1 hour and 15 minutes of testing, with the battery at 4%, the temperature records failed (unknown temperature), the glow on the barrel turned red and the metal began to glow due to the temperature. The test was interrupted on the orders of the lead scientist, Dr. Everet; charging was initiated immediately and the cooling systems were set to maximum. As a result, the AN-05 suffered no critical damage and is in excellent condition. A new 25% battery rule was established.
