Normally, AN-17 must be kept in containment, but its transfer to the scientific department for testing and interaction is authorized. However, AN-17 must be recontained 30 minutes after the transfer. Otherwise, the employee will be immediately demoted. Destroying or stealing AN-17 is prohibited and will result in immediate termination.
DESCRIPTION:
AN-17 is a small, old, brown plush dog, created by an unknown person or company. Its main anomalous property is the ability to evoke deep nostalgia in anyone within a 5.24-meter radius of the object. Regarding mental health, AN-17 can cause anything from a feeling of relief and happiness to a sense of despair and, in extreme cases, depression.
After several tests with AN-17, it was discovered that its properties alters a person's mindset in relation to their current emotional state. If someone with depressive traits comes into contact with AN-17, their emotional state transforms into a better and more optimistic one. The opposite occurs with a person in a healthy emotional state, who will soon begin to become increasingly pessimistic and sad about their past.
AN-17 was found on December 13, 2002, in an old shack in the city of [REDACTED] in [REDACTED]. The toy belonged to Charlie [REDACTED], a 6-year-old boy who appeared unaffected by AN-17's anomalous properties. The same cannot be said of his parents and family. Charlie's family stated they did not know how he obtained the toy and that they did not buy, borrow, or steal it. The origin of AN-17 and the reason why Charlie is unaffected by its properties are still unknown.
The AN-17 is now contained at Site-10.
