SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES:
AN-22 must remain in its containment at all times. To ensure there is no breach, audible alarms (each designated A, B, C, and D) must be installed in the four corners of the containment room, and each must be activated sequentially and constantly, with a 5-second interval between activations. The area around the containment room must be equipped with sensors and a layer of sound-absorbing wedges to prevent any other noise from entering the chamber and disrupting the containment. No one is allowed to make loud noises inside the AN-22 containment area, nor to open the containment and enter it. Direct interaction with AN-22 is also not permitted, as we still need more research on its behavior.
DESCRIPTION:
AN-22 is a black cubic anomaly, 80 cm in diameter, that floats in the air at an average height of 1 to 2 meters above the ground. It is completely immaterial, therefore intangible, and does not interact directly with any known chemical element in the universe. AN-22 also casts no shadows, produces no sound, and passes through any object it encounters. Furthermore, it is globally visible to humans, animals, and sensors.
The most remarkable property of AN-22 is that it always floats in the direction of the loudest and nearest sound at a speed of approximately 0.5 meters per second. It is not yet known whether direct and prolonged contact with AN-22 is safe, as Class E personnel have reported auditory hallucinations, such as whispers, giggles, and other voices that seem to be those of children after remaining in contact with AN-22 for 30 seconds. More extensive testing is being planned to ensure the safety class of AN-22.
AN-22 was found near [REDACTED] Highway on 05/12/2003, after a photographer conducted a photo shoot in the area. He shared the image online, which was subsequently removed by the OS Foundation. The photographer was given amnestics and all records of AN-22 were destroyed. After the discovery, the O Corp managed to redirect AN-22 to the BlackSite-16 gate [REDACTED] Highway and thus contain the anomaly.
The AN-05 is now contained at BlackSite-16
