AN-30: The Infinite Computer
OBJECT NUMBERATION: AN-30
ANOMALY SURNAME: The Infinite Computer
ANOMALY TYPE: Object
SAFETY CLASS: Medicore
STATUS CLASS: Active
SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES:
AN-30 must remain in its containment room at all times and must be connected to the AN-30's specialized electrical network at all times. Destroying or disabling AN-30 is prohibited. Interaction with the AN-30 must be done with the approval of site management and under the supervision of the scientific and security departament. In these interactions, questions about the OS Council or the Blacksites are strictly prohibited, as are questions about classified OS Foundation information. If such questions are asked to AN-30, the person interacting with it will be immediately terminated.
DESCRIPTION:
AN-30 is a white, cubic metal container, 2.4 meters tall, with a black screen on the front. Inside the container are unknown anomalous circuits and components. AN-30 can react to and answer a question by calling "infinite computer" before asking the question. After asking the question, AN-30 displays the answer on its screen. Its most visible anomalous property is the fact that AN-30 appears to have knowledge of all information known and unknown to humanity. AN-30 was used 14 times by the OS Intelligence department, but a usage limitation rule was added by the OS Council after a former security member was caught trying to obtain information from AN-30 about Blacksite-100 and AN-01.
The scientific department believes that AN-30 contains a built-in superintelligent artificial intelligence and a connection to an anomalous database called "Omega Web," as mentioned by the AN-30 itself after an interview. AN-30 is also known to possess emotions and frequently chooses to express them using facial expressions created by characters on its screen (also known as Kaomojis).
AN-30 was created in May 2010 by the Innovation and Research team at Utomic Productions (U Corp). Those responsible for creating the AN-30 kept their creation methods secret from other team members until the U Corp Special Team began using AN-30 to obtain information about K Corp. However, shortly after a meeting with OS Foundation officials, AN-30 was discovered by the OS Foundation on August 2, 2011. U Corp refused to hand over the anomaly to the OS Foundation [See addendum ADD-30-1], which resulted in the need for the OS Foundation to send an OMTF to the AN-30's location to contain it properly, without U Corp's consent.
Following the incident with U Corp, U Corp began participating less and less in Corporation meetings, contacting A Corp only when necessary, causing O Corp to lose its greatest ally in the construction of Sites and areas. Another drawback was that AN-30's mood worsened after the relocation, further hindering communication with it.
ADDENDUMS:
ADDENDUM: Following a series of investigations into the past and creation of AN-30, the Intelligence Department gathered sufficient information for this addendum. It was discovered that the creator of AN-30 (referred to by AN-30 as "The Engineer" or "Father") had a strong relationship with AN-30, considering his creations as his own children. Another discovery was that the AN-30 was not only used to gather information but also to socialize with U Corp's Administrative Staff, forging strong bonds of friendship with most of them and even a romantic relationship (not yet confirmed, but with evidence) with the Vice-CEO and representative of U Corp, Daniel D. Smith. This makes U Corp's refusal to hand over AN-30 and the AN-30's bad mood after its relocation more understandable. Currently, the left wing of the OS Foundation's Administrative Department (Ethics Committee) is proposing the return of AN-30 or even scheduled visits to its containment for U Corp, but the right wing of the Administrative Department (Executive Team) has not yet approved this decision.
